I came across Levant Sweets at the Night Lights & Christmas Market at Old Government Buildings in Wellington in December 2020 and gave their baklava a shot. Suffice to say there was no looking back after that day. Their baklava is absolutely heavenly and there is no substitute. It is rich in dry fruits, not at all saccharine, and strikes the perfect balance between the pastry and the dry fruits. I have given up on trying out any other baklava place because they all fall short. Over the past 1.5 years, Levant’s baklava boxes have become a staple for me every time I have a joyous event in my family, especially when I want to share my joy with my loved ones who live outside of Wellington: it’s so convenient to just have boxes shipped and delivered! 🙂
